Terms of Service

These Terms govern use of the Discord bot (“Service”). By adding or using the bot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1) Compliance

You must comply with all applicable laws and the Discord Terms, Community Guidelines, and Developer Policies.

2) Description

  • Role assignment driven by Discord-provided identifiers (e.g., tags/clans) and server-side configuration.
  • Admin-only configuration via Discord slash commands (names not publicly documented here).
  • Optional premium features that enhance capacity or functionality for eligible servers.
We do not expose internal command names, IDs, or backend routes. Admins receive only necessary configuration guidance privately.

3) Acceptable Use

  • No spam, abuse, scraping, or rate-limit evasion.
  • No attempts to reverse engineer, exploit, or interfere with the Service or Discord APIs.
  • Server owners are responsible for role hierarchy and permissions required for role management.

4) Availability & Changes

The Service is provided “as is,” without uptime guarantees. Features—including premium—may change, be suspended, or discontinued at any time.

5) Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MarvinMC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or loss of data/configuration.

6) Termination

We may restrict or remove access for violations, abuse, or legal reasons. You may remove the bot at any time.

7) Governing Law

Specify governing law and venue (e.g., Germany / your jurisdiction).

Privacy Policy

We practice data minimization and align with GDPR where applicable. This policy describes what we process, why, and your choices.

2) Data We Process

  • Discord identifiers: user IDs, guild IDs, role IDs, and Discord-provided tag/clan info.
  • Configuration: server-chosen mappings/settings needed to deliver requested features.
  • Diagnostics: minimal operational logs (timestamps, error codes, non-content signals). We do not store message contents unless explicitly required for a specific feature and communicated to admins.

3) Sources

Discord APIs and in-bot interactions. We do not purchase data from third parties.

4) Purposes & Legal Bases (GDPR)

  • Provide/operate features requested by server admins (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR).
  • Security and abuse prevention incl. rate-limit compliance (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Support/issue resolution (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Legal obligations where applicable (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

5) Retention

  • Configuration: persists until edited/removed by server admins.
  • Diagnostics: typically retained for 30–90 days (set your exact period) unless longer is legally required.

6) Sharing & Processors

We do not sell personal data. Hosting/infrastructure providers may act as processors under data-processing terms. Access is least-privilege and limited to operational necessity.

7) International Transfers

If data leaves the EEA, we apply appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by law.

8) Your Rights (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Contact support@marvinmc.net. To locate records, include your Discord user ID and relevant guild/role IDs.

9) Children

The Service is intended for users meeting Discord’s minimum age per local law. We do not knowingly process data of younger children.

10) Premium Features

Premium may be available to eligible servers. We do not disclose internal validation or activation methods publicly. Related data is processed only to deliver these features and for fraud-prevention/security. We do not store payment details unless explicitly stated in feature-specific documentation.

11) Security

  • Least-privilege access to configs and diagnostics.
  • Secure handling of tokens and secrets.
  • No public exposure of internal admin commands or endpoints.

12) Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
